Going Blue

Although we are aware of autism every day in our house today is Autism Awareness Day and we definitely choose to go blue.  This is a condition that has very much effected our family and in a way we are celebrating the family that we have with all its quirks and foibles.

Today I made blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup, blueberry biscuits, blueberry muffins, and a blueberry loaf with a blueberry sauce.

We also all dressed up in blue.

And in a display of one of the ways Autism effects us, I couldn’t get a happy picture of Little Prince today.  I did get a lot of blurry ones.  Our photoshoot went much likes these gifs . . . .

In the end I settled for a couple of decent group shots and picture of him eating his breakfast and watching his shows.

Awesome Find

I had a great time at homeschool group yesterday.  They were really welcoming.  I found out about a great store in town, Yarmouth Natural Foods Market.

We went down to see it today and I was so amazed!  Every corner I turned revealed something new and wonderful.   There were all sorts of natural foods and products as well as restaurant products and supplies at incredible prices.  They even had all the cake decorating supplies I used to use when I was a cake decorator. I can see many more very productive trips to this store in my future.

The staff and owners were wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable.  I really was super impressed!
