Ways to Make Your Move Go Better!

Since I am moving in about 5 weeks, I am looking for all the the help I can to make this easier.  So, I thought I would share some of the tips I found to prepare for your move and improve your move:

Use a color-coding system that’ll let you glance at each box and immediately know which room the contents belong in.

Instead of wrapping plates in newspaper, place disposable foam plates in between them.

Treat loading the truck like a game of Tetris.

If you pack your plates vertically, like records, they’ll be less likely to break in transit.

To prevent your containers with liquid from spilling during your move, remove the bottle cap, place plastic wrap on the lip of the bottle, then place the cap back on.

Wrap your more fragile objects in your towels and sheets; this way, you can pack everything and save yourself some bubble wrap. Two birds with one stone!
