1. I have a doctor’s appointment today to find out about the results of my Gestational Diabetes test. Wish me luck!
2. I have my first prenatal class today.
3. I am nervous about both.
4. It is silly but I feel like my house is not clean enough for the babysitter who will watch Princess while I go to the prenatal class.
5. I am feeling pretty good about the fact that within a week, I am sure that the baby’s nursery will be pretty much ready.
6. If the baby came tomorrow it would be okay but it will be better if she waits.
7. My heart goes out to those friends I have made on-line who are dealing wtih really premature babies. That has to be tough.
8. My belly is huge now. I took some pics to share probably tomorrow or Saturday.
9. I can’t believe that I am 32 weeks or 8 MONTHS pg!
10. This pregnancy flew by for me. I am so glad to be a mom and it just feels like I have only been pg for a couple of months.
11. Princess is getting anxious to see her little sister too.She will be an amazing big sister.
12. She has been so cute lately trying to write me letters by sounding out the words. It means that “way” is spelled “wa” and such but she is trying so hard. Very sweet.
13. I am going to be getting her tested for ADHD soon. She is so smart (above average her teacher says) but her school work suffers from what seems to be ADHD. I have a letter from her teacher to take to the doctor. I am probably going to wait until she finishes school to take her so that we can get it straightened out for the next grade. I don’t want her personality to change at all, I would just love her to be able to focus a little.

You are 32 weeks pregnant.

By week 32, your baby weighs nearly 4 pounds! The crown-to-rump length of your baby is approximately 11.7 inches and the total length is about 18.9 inches. Your uterus is now 5 inches above your bellybutton. Some doctors do not see their patients every other week until now. So, if you were going to the doctor monthly, you may begin going once every other week now.

Sleeping boy. the baby sleeps 90-95% of the day, and sometimes experiences REM sleep, an indication of dreaming.

Now that your baby has grown so long and your uterus is higher, you might notice a new discomfort. Your baby is probably head-down and may occasionally stretch out and kick you in the ribs. The pressure on your rib cage can make you sore, especially if one of your baby’s feet becomes caught. You can prevent this by sitting up straight as much as possible. Because your baby’s demands for vitamins and minerals are higher than ever right now, you should continue to take your parental vitamins for the entire pregnancy.

This week your baby’s movements will peak. You should continue to monitor the fetal movements daily and address any concerns with your caregiver. The wrinkles in your baby’s face are disappearing and fat is still being deposited throughout the baby’s body.

The body growth slows down from now on.

Because of the lack of space in the uterus, the legs are drawn up in what is known as the fetal position.

As a preparation for breastfeeding, your baby has learned to root for the breast. The baby will turn its head if touched on the cheek and open its mouth if the bottom lip is tickled. By this time the baby can also suck and swallow in a coordinated way.

I am really sleepy today. I got up this morning and was out to Healthy Baby Club by 9 am. Then I came home and got Princess ready for school by noon. After that I went to a friends house for a little visit and now I am home. My house is only in a minor state of disaster so I guess I can live with it for now. I am just really really tired.

On the other hand, I think I may have Gestational Diabetes. I’ll find out for sure soon, but I have a sneaking suspicion. Yesterday, I got a call from the doctor’s office. they have the results of my Gestational Diabetes 3 hour test and they want me to come in and get the results. They said I could wait until my next prenatal appointment but it had to be within 10 days. I am thinking they would probably have just given me good news over the phone, right? So I am thinking I probably have GD. I’ll let you know for sure.

As I count down to the end of this pregnancy, I am counting on easier and easier things. Here is this weeks menu:

1. Sunday: Lasagna
2. Monday: Chili
3. Tuesday: hamburgers
4. Wednesday: Hamburger meat and french fries
5. Thursday: Chicken and Rice
6. Friday: Baked Ham
7. Saturday: Spaghetti

Anyway, she decided that there was no way she was putting something as precious under her pillow. Her pillow ends up on the floor, she loses things in her disaster of a room all the time and she was NOT going to lose her tooth. So we came up with the solution of leaving a note on the headboard for the tooth fairy, letting her know where the tooth was. Then the tooth fairy left her a letter and some money. She was thrilled.

I will tell you that underneath my smiles I was a little sad when she showed me her first lost tooth. She is growing so fast and it is hard for this pregnant hormonal mama to see proof that her first baby is no longer a baby anymore. When she came running inside from playing yesterday and showed me her tooth, I grinned at her and told her how proud I was. But secretly when she ran back outside to play, I cried just a little. Another one of her first times is gone and I have so few of those to look forward to with her.

Theme: Bad Hair Become a Photo Hunter

This weeks theme was Bad Hair. I had no picture until Princess came in with her first lost tooth. I took a pic of her newly toothless look, but after being outside all day, her ponytail was coming loose and her hair was quite the mess.

1. Not too much going on here today. I was up pretty early and I made pancakes for the family.
2. I am trying to get some more laundry done as well.
3. Princess is home from school today, but she is playing outside and I doubt, I will see her much today other than quick visits and out again to play. LOL.
4. I am going to try to keep on top of the basic stuff in housework and let the bigger jobs go for now until I get a little more energy to tackle them.
5. I am really exhausted though so there won’t be a lot going on.  Lately it takes all the energy I got to carry my big pg butt up the stairs to pee (and trust me I do that a LOT)  My latest game is beat the bladder.  The goal is to make to the potty before I have an accident.
